LAKE ELSINORE (CNS) - More than 1,000 cannabis plants were seized from a Lake Elsinore house converted to an illegal cultivation site, authorities said Thursday.The grow house on Vista Palmero, in an area known as Tuscany Hills, was raided Wednesday afternoon, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.Sgt. Glenn Warrington said that a search warrant was served at the property following an investigation that uncovered illicit activity.Deputies seized 1,045 cannabis plants, in various stages of growth, for destruction, according to Warrington."The electrical system within the residence had been illegally altered, causing a severe fire hazard and theft of utilities," he said.
