Lake Elsinore Mayor Steve Manos announces bid for 67th assembly seat

Lake Elsinore Mayor Steve Manos announced his intention to enter the 2020 67th Assembly District race on Saturday, Nov. 9, at the Rosetta Canyon Community Park in the City of Lake Elsinore in front of family and friends. Manos stated that the park and fire station were part of the legacy of success that he was proud to play a part in during his seven years on the Lake Elsinore City Council.The 67th Assembly District seat is currently held by Assemblywoman Melissa Melendez, who recently announced her bid to run in the special election for the 28th Senate District seat that stretches from Lake Elsinore to Temecula all the way to Blythe. The special election for the Senate race was triggered by the resignation of Jeff Stone, who resigned to take a position with the Trump Administration.
