MORENO VALLEY (CNS) - A man was shot at the wheel of his car in Moreno Valley on Wednesday, and the suspect fled before deputies reached the location.
The shooting happened about 8:50 a.m. near the intersection of JFK Drive and Perris Boulevard, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.
The victim, whose name was not released, was struck in the upper body and was taken to nearby Riverside University Medical Center for treatment of what were described as life-threatening wounds.
No description of the suspect was available, and the circumstances behind the attack were unclear.
Deputies shut down Perris between JFK and Delphinium Avenue as part of the investigation.
