Trial date set for felon charged with robbing banks, burglarizing stores

MURRIETA (CNS) - A Feb. 13 trial date was set today for a convicted felon accused of robbing the same two banks in Southwest Riverside County twice, as well as burglarizing area grocery stores during the same general time frame.Donovan Oscar Dintelman, 47, of Canyon Lake, was arrested last month following a sheriff's investigation that began in June.Dintelman is charged with six counts of armed robbery and five counts of first-degree burglary.During a status hearing at the Southwest Justice Center in Murrieta, Superior Court Judge John Monterosso conferred with the prosecution and defense regarding scheduling, and the two sides agreed to prepare for trial proceedings in mid-February.
