Car crashes into Winchester home

WINCHESTER (CNS) - One person was hospitalized this morning and four people displaced when a vehicle crashed into the side of a home in the unincorporated Winchester area of Riverside County.The crash occurred in the 33000 block of Simpson Road about 9 p.m. Thursday and the driver of the vehicle was trapped inside, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.The driver was freed from the vehicle about 9:35 p.m. and taken to a hospital with moderate injuries, the department said. No other injuries were reported.Red Cross officials were called to the scene to assist the four displaced adults with finding a place to stay.Details of what led up to the crash were not immediately available.
