Boxing for Christ bantamweight boxer David Navarro, 19, has been invited to compete at the Olympic Trials in Lake Charles, Louisiana, Saturday, Dec. 7, after qualifying in the USA Boxing National Tournament.The public announcement was made by Boxing for Christ Sonia Ramos during the Nov. 12 Hemet City Council meeting.Navarro appeared before the council and said, “I’ve been boxing since I was 5 years old. My dream has always been to make it to the Olympics, so here I am now and I’ve come a long way. So far, I have over 150 fights and seven losses.
