11 arrested in Temecula prostitution sting

A prostitution sting in Southwest Riverside County resulted in the arrests of nine men and two women, the Riverside County Sheriff's Department said Thursday.The operation, targeting people soliciting sex in exchange for money in Temecula, was carried out on Tuesday by the Riverside County Anti-Human Trafficking Taskforce along with personnel from the Perris sheriff's station , according to sheriff's Sgt. Robert Menchaca.The 11 suspects, ranging in age from 22 to 46 years old, were all taken to the Cois M. Byrd Detention Center on suspicion of prostitution charges.One of the arrestees was also suspected of possessing illegal narcotics.Will Fritz can be reached by email at wfritz@reedermedia.com.
