Murrieta man accused of killing father, fleeing to Mexico charged with murder

MURRIETA (CNS) - A Murrieta man accused of killing his father and fleeing to Mexico before being arrested while attempting to re-enter the country remained jailed without bail today after being charged with murder. Carlos Palmerin, 32, was taken into custody Monday at the San Ysidro Border Crossing. The day prior, officers discovered a vehicle owned by his father, 54- year-old Ricardo Palmerin, abandoned with the keys still in the ignition and a flat tire on Jefferson Avenue near Fig Street, according to the Murrieta Police Department. When officers responded to Ricardo Palmerin's home on Ivy Street they found him dead, along with signs of a struggle, police said.
