RIVERSIDE – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will be removing large boulders as part of the slope stabilization work on State Route 74 (SR-74) in Lake Elsinore.There will be a single one-hour full directional closure taking place every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday until December 19 between the hours of 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., weather dependent.Eastbound traffic will be held at postmile 11.0 and westbound traffic will be held at postmile 9.0.Morning and evening commuters will not be affected by this operation. Be advised, excessive noise may occur during construction hours. Work will resume behind k-rail Mondays and Fridays from 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.Know before you go!
