Hemet sheriffs conduct mass casualty drill at Idyllwild School

Deputies from the Hemet Sheriff’s Station conducted a mass casualty drill at Idyllwild School Tuesday, Nov. 26. Those in attendance included deputies from the Thermal Sheriff’s Station, Sheriff’s Enforcement Bureau, California Highway Patrol, Hemet Police Department, Cal Fire, American Medical Response and Idyllwild Fire. The drill involved role players portraying casualties and witnesses. This exercise gave first responders hands-on practice and training. Law enforcement, fire departments and EMS conducted the training together and within their respective departments.
