Murrieta to host annual Hometown Holiday Parade and Festival of Trees

The city of Murrieta is prepared to kick off the holiday season with a slew of free, family-friendly events designed to make even the stingiest of Scrooges leave the “bah humbug” at home.Town Square Park will be at the heart of the celebration Saturday, Dec. 7, when children and adults alike will converge upon the park for the city’s annual Donuts with Santa from 9-10:30 a.m.Space at the event is limited to the first 500 people, so RSVPs are required and can be made online at tinyurl.com/Morning-Donuts-with-Santa. For some added fun, come dressed in pajamas to enjoy doughnuts and beverages with the jolly old elf himself.The city is asking those in attendance to bring a non-perishable food item or new toys for its annual Food and Toy Drive.
