Staff WriterFans of Santa Claus, young and old, were thrilled to see the big man make a stop at Ponte Winery for a special event at the winery on Sunday, Dec. 8. Visitors could enjoy refreshments and cookies while waiting their turn to be photographed with Santa — mom and dad could sneak a glass or two, also. When the rain cleared, guests could take a ride on a horse-driven carriage ride through the vines as well. The winery will next host a Last Chance Shopping Night at the tasting room on Friday, Dec. 20.Ponte Winery is at 35053 Rancho California Road in Temecula.
