Wisconsin Wind Orchestra to perform in Hemet
The internationally recognized Wisconsin Wind Orchestra will make a rare appearance Sunday, Jan. 26, at the Tahquitz High School Performing Arts Center in Hemet.The Wisconsin Wind Orchestra was established in 1995 by director Dr. Lawrence Harper and is one of the few professional chamber wind ensembles in the world. It consists of two flutes, oboes, clarinets, French horns and bassoons and one string bass.The performance will begin at 2:30 p.m. at the arts center, 4425 Titan Trail, in Hemet and is hosted by the Hemet Concert Association.Diane Mitchell, HCA’s artistic director said, “We are looking forward to hearing this uncommon ensemble. In HCA’s 47 year history we have never presented a wind orchestra, and it is safe to say that most people have never heard one before.
