Pair to stand trial for allegedly robbing, killing 61-year-old Anza man

MURRIETA (CNS) - Two felons accused of robbing and fatally shooting a 61-year-old Anza man must stand trial on first-degree murder and other charges, a judge ruled on Friday. Brandon Noll Pollard, 28, of Escondido, and Maxwell Hakole Reynolds, 29, of Anza, were arrested last summer for the alleged slaying of Khamsene Singnolay. Following a preliminary hearing, Riverside County Superior Court Judge Kelly Hanson found there was sufficient evidence to warrant a trial on the murder count, as well as two counts of kidnapping to commit robbery and a special-circumstance allegation of killing in the course of a robbery. Hanson scheduled a post-preliminary hearing arraignment for Jan. 31 at the Southwest Justice Center. The defendants are both being held without bail at the Robert Presley Jail
