County to accept household hazardous waste at Temecula event

The Riverside County Department of Waste Resources will collect household hazardous waste, free of charge, this Saturday in Temecula.From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Temecula Valley Entrepreneur's Exchange, 43200 Business Park Drive, Riverside County residents will be able to drop off things like "used motor oil, paint, antifreeze, household and automotive batteries, pesticides, cleaning products, sharps (that is, needles, syringes or lancets), unused medication (except controlled substances), fluorescent lamps, and electronic waste such as televisions, computers, VCRs and telephones," according to the Waste Resources Department.It's an opportunity for local residents "to keep hazardous waste out of the county landfills and ensure it is properly managed," the department said.Only r
