More than 500 people came out to Pepe’s Restaurant and Cantina in Canyon Lake Thursday, Feb. 13, hoping to take part in a “stress test” for the establishment as part of the taping of the show “Bar Rescue.”The reality show hosted by Jon Taffer, a longtime food and beverage industry consultant specializing in nightclubs, bars and pubs, which airs on the Paramount Network, was scheduled to wrap up taping at the location Sunday, Feb. 16.The premise of the show is that Taffer comes to the rescue of an establishment that could be on the verge of failing for a variety of reasons and facilitates the changes needed to give the business a chance to succeed.On the show, Taffer is no-nonsense and puts the business’
