Riverside convenience store clerk shot during robbery
RIVERSIDE (CNS) - A 7-Eleven clerk was fatally shot Friday during a robbery in Riverside, possibly gunned down by the same bandit who held up two other convenience stores in neighboring cities.Riverside police Officer Ryan Railsback said the fatal robbery happened about 3:25 a.m. at 6692 Indiana Ave., near Arlington Avenue.According to Railsback, a customer walked into the store and discovered the victim, identified only as a man in his 30s, mortally wounded on the floor.Patrol officers and paramedics arrived within a few minutes, and despite efforts to resuscitate the man, he died at the scene, Railsback said.There was no sign of the shooter, and police officers and Riverside County sheriff's deputies initiated a search of the area using K9 teams, but the suspect was not l
