Nearly 20 vendors will take over Mr. Happy’s Mercantile Saturday, March 28, as fans and shoppers attend a craft fair at the shop. The event will begin at 10 a.m. and will feature local handmade crafts and art.“We plan on an awesome event highlighting the mountain community artisans and their abilities to create arts, crafts and home goods,” Lori Jo Wood, soap and gourd artist and teacher, said.Vendor spaces are filling up fast, but there are still several spots available. The cost is $10 per space, due by the morning of the fair.“Anyone who offers a homemade craft is invited to participate,” organizer Jackie Florence Kreuzer said. “So far, we have farmhouse crafts, jewelry, soaps, woodworking pieces and many other exciting items.
