RIVERSIDE (CNS) - Light rain showers are expected today throughout Riverside County and snow could fall in the mountains, according to the National Weather Service. A low-pressure system lingering over California and Nevada will bring a chance of rain through Friday morning, forecasters said. A winter weather advisory will be in effect until 10 p.m. today in the Riverside County mountains and mountains communities in San Bernardino County above 4,000 feet. Snow levels in the Riverside County mountains will be around 3,000 feet this morning, then rise to about 4,000 feet Friday morning. As of 9 p.m. Wednesday, Idyllwild had not reported receiving any snow, but Big Bear Lake in San Bernardino County got between 1-3 inches of frozen white flakes.
