MURRIETA – Expanding its capacity to engage with residents and stakeholders, Murrieta has launched a chat feature on its public website, http://www.MurrietaCA.gov. Website users can now chat with available city hall, police, fire, parks and recreation and library staff.Users can click the yellow chat bar that is located on every page of the website. Select a department, and an employee with knowledge in that area will respond. If a staff member is not available, there is an option to leave a message and the city will follow up via email.City manager Kim Summers explained how chat provides an important, real-time tool as the city expands its strategies to engage residents remotely.“When city closures limited the public’s direct access to staff, we began seeking innovative
