Smoke pouring into valley coming from Camp Pendleton fire

The Riverside County Fire Department advises that residents may see and smell drift smoke from fires burning on Camp Pendleton in San Diego County.

Firefighters with CalFire San Diego and the Marine Corps are working to extinguish the roughly 10-acre brush fire in a training area toward the center of the base, according to base officials.

Officials said the fires pose no threat to Riverside County or structures on the base.
