H&H General Contractors Inc. was awarded the contract for the Ortega Channel Retrofit.The Riverside County Board of Supervisors members are also the board members of the Riverside County Flood Control and Water Conservation District, and as the district board members the county supervisors voted 5-0, June 9, to award H&H General Contractors the contract for the Highland company’s bid of $1,888,864. The board also found a lower bid to be non-responsive due to a material irregularity and approved an addendum to the contract which had been issued before the April 1 bid deadline.The project will replace a section of underground concrete pipe with an underground reinforced concrete box and three access structures.
