RIVERSIDE (CNS) - The city of Riverside's library system will restart services on a limited level beginning next month, officials announced today. All municipal libraries have been closed since a coronavirus-related public health emergency was declared by the City Council in mid-March. However, operations will be partially restored on July 9. According to city spokesman Phil Pitchford, seven of the eight branches spread throughout the city will be available for pickup and drop-off transactions only -- not interior visits to peruse shelves, utilize computers or look at other materials. Under the ``Library-to-Go'' service, residents will be able to reserve books and DVDs online or by telephone, and librarians will gather items for curbside pickup on a specific date.
