Alleged honey oil lab explosion in San Jacinto sends one to hospital; no arrests made

A San Jacinto woman was hospitalized with severe burn injuries after what is believed to be a butane honey oil lab explosion, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said Friday.Around 6:45 p.m. Thursday, a call came in to the San Jacinto Sheriff’s Station reporting an explosion in the 500 block of Soboba Avenue, according to sheriff’s Sgt. Julio Olguin.The caller reported that a woman had walked over to their residence and said her stove exploded while she was cooking, according to Olguin.Deputies arrived and found a 29-year-old woman with severe burns to 30% of her body; she was airlifted to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton.The woman’s boyfriend, a 29-year-old man, had minor cuts and burns to his upper torso, Olguin said.Deputies who interviewed t
