LAKE ELSINORE (CNS) - Firefighters Thursday rescued a hiker who became stranded on a trail northeast of Lake Elsinore. A ``hiker down'' call was received about 1:10 p.m. in the area of Walker Canyon Trail and Lake Street, just east of Interstate 15, according to the Riverside County Fire Department. The hiker, whose name was not disclosed, called 911 for assistance after suffering an unknown problem while on the trail, which leads into the Estelle Mountain Reserve. Multiple engine crews were sent to the location to look for the man, along with a sheriff's helicopter crew, and shortly before 2 p.m., the hiker was found, with no visible injuries, according to reports from the scene. Firefighters walked the victim down to the trailhead and parking lot, where further assessment was planned
