Firefighters douse brush fire sparked by car crash east of Temecula

Firefighters were able to put out a small brush fire that was triggered by a car crash east of Temecula late Wednesday morning.The incident was first reported at 10:43 a.m. as an overturned vehicle on state Route 79 between Pauba Road and Vail Lake, according to information from a California Highway Patrol incident log.Within ten minutes, dispatchers were being told the vehicle had become fully engulfed in flames. The driver and passengers were all reportedly out of the vehicle by the time it caught fire.According to Cal Fire Riverside spokesman Rob Roseen, the fire spread to an approximately 50-by-50-foot spot of vegetation.Firefighters arrived at the scene and had the blaze under control at 11:26 a.m., Roseen said.According to the CHP, Route 79 was closed in both dire
