HEMET – The Rotary Club of Hemet named Dan Cortese as 2020-2021 club president July 1, succeeding Laura Brock.Cortese has lived in Hemet for 28 years and joined Hemet Sunset Rotary Aug. 8, 2018. He is married with two sons, ages five and eight. He has worked for the city of Hemet for over 14 years and is currently responsible for managing environmental programs for the Public Works Department. His specialty is in stormwater, water quality, jurisdictional permit programs and working closely with regulatory agencies. He serves on many committees for training and public education at the county level.He has served as a baseball coach with Valley-Wide Recreative and Park District for many years. Cortese said he enjoys hiking in the local mountains and playing softball at Valley-Wide.
