Murder suspect shot to death by police in Hemet

HEMET (CNS) - A homicide suspect led officers on a pursuit before being shot to death by police in Hemet today. Hemet police said officers attempted to stop the suspect's vehicle at around 6 a.m. in the 400 block of North Palm Avenue, but the suspect fled. Officers chased the suspect to San Jacinto, then back to Hemet, where he eventually stopped his vehicle in the 500 block of North San Jacinto Street. Police said that's when the suspect got out of the car with a gun in his hand. "An officer-involved shooting occurred at that time. The man fell to the ground and emergency medical aid was called.
