It is being reported that almost $500,000 was issued from the federal government’s Payment Protection Program to help make up for the funding that was lost in the southern section over the past six months because of the pandemic.Because of the untimely spread of COVID-19, the Southern Section canceled the spring sports championships after all high school sports were shut down in March of this year.
