WINCHESTER (CNS) - A brush fire that erupted Monday, Aug. 31 near a Winchester intersection scorched 4 1/2 acres before firefighters stopped it. The non-injury ``Keller Fire'' was reported about 1:30 p.m. in the area of Keller and Leon roads, just west of Highway 79, according to the Riverside County Fire Department. Eight engine crews and two hand crews -- numbering close to 100 personnel -- were sent to the location and encountered flames moving at a moderate rate toward a hillside. Two Cal Fire air tankers and a water-dropping helicopter were summoned to make runs on the brusher, establishing tentative containment lines and bringing the fire's forward rate of spread to a halt about 2:45 p.m. By 3:45 p.m., the blaze was 50% contained, and full containment was expected by 5 p.m. Offic
