Staff WriterRIVERSIDE - Riverside County’s top public health officer, Dr. Cameron Kaiser delivered the news to Riverside County Supervisors on Tuesday, Oct. 20, that the California Department of Public Health has moved the county back to the Purple Tier, effective immediately. “Our COVID-19 case rates remain elevated even without the test penalty and the state and believes that additional time and adjudication will not rectify this,” Dr. Kaiser said. “As a result, we were informed by the state that Riverside County will return to the Purple Tier today.
