State moves Riverside County to Purple Tier

Jeff Pack Staff WriterRIVERSIDE - Riverside County’s top public health officer, Dr. Cameron Kaiser delivered the news to Riverside County Supervisors on Tuesday, Oct. 20, that the California Department of Public Health has moved the county back to the Purple Tier, effective immediately. “Our COVID-19 case rates remain elevated even without the test penalty and the state and believes that additional time and adjudication will not rectify this,” Dr. Kaiser said. “As a result, we were informed by the state that Riverside County will return to the Purple Tier today. What this means is that businesses and institutions affected by this change will have 72 hours to adjust and reduce their capacity and, or move outdoors as specified the county will remain in the Purple Tier for a
