COVID hospitalizations drop, no new deaths reported
RIVERSIDE (CNS) - The number of coronavirus hospitalizations in Riverside County dropped and no new deaths connected to the virus were reported Friday, Oct. 23, while the overall case count increased by 371.
The aggregate number of COVID-19 infections recorded since the public health documentation period began in early March is 65,757, compared to 65,386 on Thursday, according to the Riverside University Health System.
The agency said the number of COVID-positive hospitalizations totals 161, compared to 176 a day ago. The number includes 39 intensive care unit patients -- two less than Thursday.
Officials said the number of deaths believed to be tied to COVID-19 remains 1,279.
