SAN BERNARDINO – A portion of Tunnel Two Road (2N34) in the Lake Arrowhead area was temporarily closed Friday, Oct. 30, for a project to improve conditions where it crosses a tributary of Grass Valley Creek. The closure is located between Pilot Rock Road (2N33) and Miller Canyon Road (2N37).The crossing, which is near the road’s intersection with Pilot Rock Road, becomes a large, deep puddle each spring. Some visitors have become stuck while many others drive a precarious user-created bypass road. The construction crew concrete-hardened the crossing, allowing the tributary to flow more naturally and with less erosion, improving water quality.A detour route for Tunnel Two Road (2N34) is available on Pilot Rock Ridge
