Temecula man dies while working at Cathedral City tribal casino

CATHEDRAL CITY (CNS) - A 41-year-old construction worker died Monday, Dec. 7 while working at the newly opened Agua Caliente Casino in Cathedral City, authorities said. Jay Ayers of Temecula was fatally injured at 5:20 a.m. at the E. Palm Canyon Drive casino and died at the scene, according to Riverside County coroner's officials. The circumstances surrounding the man's death were not immediately clear. ``We received a call of an industrial accident on the Casino property resulting in the unfortunate death of an employee,'' Cathedral City police Cmdr. Julio Luna said. ``We are in the process of completing our investigation. Any further comments on the incident will come from the casino.''
