The Temecula Valley Unified School District governing board members participated in a public board workshop Wednesday, Dec. 2, to get them up to speed before their swearings-in Dec. 5. Incoming board members Steven Schwartz, Adam Skumawitz and Steve Loner endured a meeting that lasted from 9:30 a.m. to nearly 3:30 p.m., albeit with breaks in between, in which they were educated on the Brown Act – the law that governs public meeting transparency in California – listened to Superintendent Jodi McClay give an overview of TVUSD’s organizational structure, budget and other topics, and participated in a team-building workshop hosted by former TVUSD board member Barb Tooker. “You have the wisdom; I want you to share it,” the new board members were advised. “You have the purpose;
