Menifee man, 26, killed in Christmas Eve crash on I-215

A 26-year-old Menifee man was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 215 in Murrieta on Christmas Eve, according to the California Highway Patrol.The fatal crash happened a little before 5 p.m. on the southbound freeway, according to CHP Officer Mike Lassig said.Witnesses told investigating CHP officers that they observed the vehicle involved in the crash, a 2017 Subaru WRX, traveling at more than 100 mph in the No. 1 lane of the freeway before attempting to cut across all lanes toward the Los Alamos Road exit, Lassig said.
