Wunderlich had been appointed to the City Council to fill former councilmember Randon Lane’s vacant seat just three months before.A man fled while sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a domestic dispute Jan. 2, then led authorities on a lengthy pursuit that ended when the suspect was shot and killed by deputies on a Murrieta street.
