Man suffers smoke exposure during fire at Winchester home

WINCHESTER (CNS) - A man suffered smoke inhalation Tuesday, Jan. 5 while trying to put out a Winchester house fire. The blaze was reported about 2:15 p.m. in the 31000 block of Crimson Drive, near Emerald Drive, according to the Riverside County Fire Department. Multiple engine crews were sent to the location and encountered smoke filling the attached garage of the two-story residence. The lone occupant of the property was discovered outside the garage, struggling to breathe after being exposed to the smoke, according to reports from the scene. An ambulance was summoned, and the victim was taken to a hospital in stable condition. Firefighters fully contained the blaze within a few minutes. Damage was confined to the garage space.
