The Friends Uniting Neighbors Group provides food boxes and contributes free hot meals in Anza through their food ministry program. Besides volunteers to haul, collect, load, unload, separate, organize and distribute the food, behind-the-scenes donors also make it possible to feed thousands of residents, even throughout the coronavirus pandemic. New donors came on board in the past year as well. “We have had our regular supporters like Anza Gas, Gary Worobec and Carl Wassgren, but the new donors have increased significantly including Borrego Health and the Community Pantry in Hemet,” organizer Bill Donahue said. The F. U. N. Group received a grant from Riverside County to assist with their efforts.
