The Temecula Valley Unified School District is soliciting applicants who are interested in serving on its Citizen’s Oversight Committee for bond projects. The term of service will be two years, and the Board anticipates making appointments at its regularly scheduled board meeting of March 16, 2021. The Committee membership is required to include one member who is active in a business organization that represents the business community of the District; one member active in a senior citizen’s organization; one member active in a bona fide taxpayer association; one member who is a parent or guardian of a child enrolled in the District; and one member who in addition to having a child enrolled in the District is also active in a parent-teacher organization. No member may be an employee or official of the District nor any vendor, contractor or consultant of the District.
The committee must consist of at least seven members who will actively review and report on the proper expenditure of the bond proceeds. There is no salary or stipend associated with service on this committee.
