Dog killed in Menifee house fire, family displaced

MENIFEE (CNS) - A dog was killed this morning in a house fire in Menifee that also displaced a family of seven.Firefighters responded about 1:25 a.m. to the 31000 block of Larchwood Street and found heavy fire coming from the garage, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.The flames extended into the home, killing the dog and displacing two adults and five children before the fire was extinguished about 2:30 a.m.The cause of the fire was under investigation.
