Fire burns part of trash truck in Temecula
TEMECULA (CNS) - A garbage truck caught fire today in Temecula -- the second one in the city this week -- causing major damage to the vehicle but no injuries.
The blaze was reported about 11:20 a.m. in the 31000 block of Brush Creek Circle, near Murrieta Hot Springs Road, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
Multiple engine crews were sent to the location and encountered flames in the scoop. A large part of the truck was impacted by the fire before crews got it under control, according to reports from the scene.
There was no word on a possible cause.
On Wednesday morning, a CR&R garbage truck erupted in flames in the 43600 block of Preece Lane, near Buckeye Road, according to the fire department.
