Motorcyclist Killed in Crash on Ortega Highway Identified

LAKE ELSINORE (CNS) - A motorcyclist fatally injured when his bike skidded out of control on the Ortega (74) Highway west of Lake Elsinore and slammed into a guardrail was identified today as a 23-year-old Nuevo man. Ahkin Inniss died Thursday immediately after the crash near Lookout Point, roughly two miles west of Grand Avenue. According to the California Highway Patrol, Inniss was riding a 2008 Yamaha motorcycle westbound about 5 p.m. when he entered a curve while going just over 50 mph. ``The victim was unable to negotiate the curve,'' CHP Officer Mike Lassig said. ``He left the roadway and traveled onto the right dirt shoulder.''
