Parolee Arrested for Allegedly Possessing Loaded Handgun

SAN JACINTO (CNS) - A documented gang member on parole for attempted murder was arrested for allegedly possessing a loaded handgun, sheriff's officials said today. Ramon Mora, 39, was arrested after the vehicle he was riding in was pulled over by deputies at about 4:30 p.m. Thursday at Lake Park Drive and Soboba Springs Drive, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department. During a parole search of the vehicle, deputies found a loaded 9mm handgun with an extended high capacity magazine, according to Sgt. Ian Baily. Mora was arrested and booked into the Southwest Detention Center on suspicion of multiple weapons crimes and remained jailed without bail.
