Blaze heavily damages home east of Hemet, displacing 4 people

A fire that erupted Wednesday, Feb. 24, in a single-story house just east of Hemet spread rapidly through the structure, threatening adjacent residences, before crews got it partially contained.There were no reports of injuries in connection with the blaze, which broke out about 1:35 p.m. near the intersection of Acacia Avenue and El Campo Place, in an unincorporated community known as Valle Vista, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
