Wildomar resident Dave Lower has been to just about every Vista Murrieta High School varsity girls’ basketball game at home since 2003, but due to his age, the current pandemic, and his recent cancer diagnosis, he may not see another game. Lower is a 101-year-old World War II and Korean War veteran who has a special relationship with the program. Unfortunately, like so many things affected by COVID-19, the Vista Murrieta girls’ basketball team has not taken the court in over a year, and likely, may not play anytime soon.Lower, who started attending games because he knew a family at church who had a daughter playing basketball at a rival school, has attended most of the Vista Murrieta girls’ games since the school opened in 2003, getting to know all the players and traveling lon
