The AMA Supercross 250SX class has both an East series and a West series. The West series made its season debut Saturday, Feb. 20, at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida, and Menifee’s Justin Cooper won the main event. “It went really good,” Cooper said. “It was honestly more than I expected.” Cooper, who is part of the Monster Energy/Star Racing Yamaha team, led all 19 laps of the main event and was 4.887 seconds faster than second-place finisher Cameron McAdoo of Iowa. “It was a great way to set the season,” Cooper said.
