Man accused of murdering woman found in vehicle in Temecula makes first court appearance

MURRIETA (CNS) - A man accused of killing a 30-year-old woman found in a vehicle abandoned at the bottom of a hill in Temecula made his initial court appearance Thursday.Edwin Omar Cordova, 28, of Wildomar was arrested Saturday following a Riverside County Sheriff's Department investigation into the death of Cynthia Denise Ibarra Cabrera of Murrieta.Cordova is charged with murder and a sentence-enhancing allegation of using a deadly weapon in the commission of a felony.Cordova appeared before Superior Court Judge Judith Clark, who appointed him a public defender and scheduled his arraignment for April 12 at the Southwest Justice Center in Murrieta.Clark also ordered Cordova held in lieu of $1 million bail at the Smith Correctional Facility in Banning.According to sherif
