Elsinore Man Charged with Sexually Assaulting Girl

MURRIETA (CNS) - A 28-year-old Lake Elsinore man accused of sexually assaulting a girl was charged today with forcible rape and other offenses. Christian Javier Ramirez Padilla was arrested Friday following a Riverside County Sheriff's Department investigation into the alleged 2020 attack. Along with the rape count, Padilla is charged with lewd acts on a minor, unlawful intercourse and possession of child pornography. Padilla is being held in lieu of $1 million bail at the Byrd Detention Center in Murrieta and is slated to make his initial court appearance at the Southwest Justice Center Thursday. According to sheriff's Sgt. Julio Olguin, deputies were informed about the alleged assault earlier this year. The victim, identified in court documents only as ``E.G.,'' told investigators
