Man Accused of Sexually Assaulting Elsinore Girl Arraigned

MURRIETA (CNS) - A 28-year-old Lake Elsinore man accused of sexually assaulting a girl pleaded not guilty today to forcible rape and other charges. Christian Javier Ramirez Padilla was arrested Friday following a Riverside County Sheriff's Department investigation into the alleged 2020 attack. Along with the rape count, Padilla is charged with lewd acts on a minor, unlawful intercourse and possession of child pornography. He was arraigned before Riverside County Superior Court Judge Judith Clark, who scheduled a felony settlement conference for May 25 at the Southwest Justice Center and left Padilla's bail set at $1 million.
